Aviva Betech graduated in May 2011 from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego, California, with a Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy. Prior to the completion of her formal education in counseling and therapy, Aviva Betech earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, in May of 2000. In the time between her undergraduate and graduate degrees, Aviva Betech participated in a number of professional and volunteer activities, allowing her to develop many additional skills.
In the realm of volunteer work, Aviva Betech has served as a Counselor with the Spirituality for Kids program at The Kabbalah Centre in San Diego, where she participated in youth counseling by working with children ages 4 through 12 in programs aimed at providing them with education about personal growth and life choices. Additionally, Aviva Betech served as a Paralegal in 2009 with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program at the Madge Bradley Courthouse. As a Paralegal, Aviva Betech helped the firm’s clients to fill out temporary restraining order forms for domestic violence and elder abuse.
Most recently in her professional career, Aviva Betech has pursued hands-on experience in professional counseling via her role as a marital and family therapy (MFT) Trainee with the First Avenue Counseling Centre in San Diego. Through the center, Aviva Betech gained important experience with providing therapy in a variety of settings. In addition to working with individuals, couples, and families, Aviva Betech also helped to facilitate weekly process groups for victims of domestic violence and those with substance abuse problems.
In addition to her professional work, Aviva Betech is also an avid and active supporter of numerous charities, including The American National Red Cross, the International Child Art Foundation, Locks of Love, UNICEF, and The Kabbalah Centre.
